Ocean Clean -up
Boyan Slat is a Dutch inventor and entrepreneur. He founded The Ocean Cleanup at the age of 18 in his hometown of Delft, the Netherlands. Boyan won the United Nations Champion of the Earth award in 2014 for his efforts to clear the ocean of plastic. He made two predictions: that the road ahead would be bumpy and that he would not give up. The Ocean Cleanup is a non-profit organization. It is developing advanced technologies to rid the world’s oceans of plastic. Plastic pollution in the world's oceans is one of the biggest environmental issues of our time.
